Rachael is an avid vinyl collector and dedicated DJ who is well known on the London electronic music circuit and beyond. Her sound covers everything from euphoric disco to electro-clash which has allowed to play in every possible place across the city from Printworks to Dalston Superstore.
Rachael regularly plays in Peckham’s much-loved record store and bar, Rye Wax, and is also the driving force behind the venue’s varied and well-curated booking policy.
Ahead of her Egg LDN debut on 22nd February, she has recorded a mix for us which showcases her sound and gives us a taste of what to expect in the Loft. A few words from her ahead of the night:
I recorded this mix in the Rye Wax basement in one take. It spans chiffon-spangled disco to high-camp vocal italo and is a perfect taster for what you’ll experience from my set at Egg. Crowd pleasers rub shoulder to shoulder with vinyl obscurities, all of which will be sung along to in the booth, dancing with KMYA. The last few years have seen me play a gay wedding at San Francisco Pride, Ministry Of Sound, Field Manuevers festival and Printworks twice. Delighted to be making my Egg debut for 2020!
