Mexico City–born, Puebla-based DJ and producer Vivian Garciaferro aka ViiV is a rising force within Mexico’s underground electronic scene. Her refined taste and vinyl-driven sets have quietly earned her a respected place behind the decks. Active since the early 2010s, Viiv’s artistic path deepened during a formative period in Chicago, where full immersion in the city’s legendary house ecosystem helped shape her musical identity and led her to become part of the Naughty Bad Fun Collective, founded by Sassmouth.
A dedicated crate digger with a clear affinity for the tactile ritual of vinyl, ViiV is known for crafting elegant journeys through minimal house and techno — subtle, hypnotic, and rich in detail. Her commitment to the format translates into sets that feel intentional and deeply curated, balancing restraint with groove while allowing the music’s textures to breathe. This approach has brought her to some of the country’s most respected clubs and stages, including appearances at Boiler Room and Comunité Festival, where her understated confidence and selector’s mindset have resonated with discerning dancefloors.
Beyond the booth, ViiV continues to expand her footprint in the underground by spreading a distinct whim — capricho — energy through her projects and collaborations. She is not only a resident of Sonoro, but als of Space Container, a new party in CDMX focused on merging forward-thinking electronic music with high-quality visual experiences, creating immersive environments that go beyond the dancefloor. With original productions currently in the works and the forthcoming launch of her Unisono label, ViiV is stepping into a new chapter — one that blends sound, vision, and intention while staying rooted in the deeper shades of the underground.
