An Australian meets a Californian at USC, bond over late-night sessions, and somehow end up making some of the most groove-locked club music around. That’s X & Ivy.
Their sound is a conversation between two very different record collections. Aussie pub rock and disco on one side, soul, hardcore, and house on the other, filtered through early Chicago house, Detroit techno, and the breakbeat-heavy, acid-tinged chaos of 90s UK raves. And somehow, it all fits perfectly.
