The approach of Florián Del Olmo –aka. DEL OLMO – around music is not a mere coincidence.
Originally from Recife, Brazil and resident in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Florián came into contact with music from an early age. Being the son of musicians, he was exposed to a diverse range of influences. Thanks to this, he was able to develop his ear from the sounds of artists and bands such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Ryo Fukui, The Prodigy, Jeff Mills, Kraftwerk, Klauss, Detroit In Effect, Drexciya, Add N to (X), Underworld, among others.
At the end of 2020, Florián decided to formally begin his career as a musician/artist using his last name as an alias and multidisciplinarity as a cornerstone. He is currently studying Music Production at the Buenos Aires Music School.
At only 20 years old, Florián already has a considerable portfolio; He works with artists from the national scene – Sauren Kids, Gaston Fiore, West Code, Cufaxx, Ivan Reich, Rudie Martinez, Posguerra, etc – and from the international scene – Moodrich, DJ Free Download, La Wachita China. This is reflected in his extensive musical catalog, which has a remarkable color and a unique sound.
As for releases, DEL OLMO has an EP and a track (part of a compilation by several artists) on WC FAST MUSIC, an EP on Arhythmic Records, a premiere on Trucking Records and soon releases on Planetaria Music, Simplexia World Records, Lambratech , Ri7mo, Wangan Club, among others.
Like every artist, Florián also dedicates himself to giving performances. His preferred format is DJs and Vinyl Sets, but he also has experience playing live piano.
On the track, DEL OLMO slides smoothly between genres and sensations, combining elegant sounds with guerrilla rhythms. His sets are as varied as his productions; There are no rules or conventions.
