Drumcode announce ‘Re:Generate’, a remix album of tracks from Kevin Saunderson’s legendary E-Dancer moniker

The project sees heavyweights such as Robert Hood, Special Request, Tygapaw, DJ Bone and more debut on Adam Beyer’s label Drumcode.

Drumcode are thrilled to announce the label will collaborate with Kevin Saunderson and his legendary E-Dancer project ‘Re:Generate’ to present a series of remixes from the iconic moniker. A project initiated by Adam Beyer and Saunderson that’s been taking shape over the last year, a selection of Drumcode’s finest, alongside a string of Detroit legends and some of the freshest names in techno will present a unique interpretation of the iconic E-Dancer album ‘Heavenly’, with a couple of special surprises along the way.

Remix confirmation so far include Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Bart Skils, DJ Bone, DJ Minx, Layton Giordani, Len Faki, Rebūke, Robert Hood, rRoxymore, Special Request, Tygapaw and Wehbba.

“The reason I felt the need to do an album like this is because of the strong presence and influence these tracks from the 90s have had on so many different producers, DJs, artists and genres of music. It’s the purest thing from me and a record that will always have a long-lasting place in my heart. I’ve had very few remixes of e-Dancer over the years, so thought why not work with different artists who I admire who I’ve also influenced. Drumcode was a great fit for this due to my friendship with Adam. It offered a unique home bringing both the younger and older generations of techno together. This will be the closing chapter of e-Dancer ‘Heavenly’. You won’t see any other remixes after this record. But e-Dancer is indeed back. Regenerate.” – Kevin Saunderson

“I’m really pleased we can recognise the 250th release on Drumcode with a powerful package of music from such a strong pool of remixer talent. E-Dancer’s iconic ‘Heavenly’ album was a defining moment in the history of electronic music. There are so many influences that have been taken from Kevin’s music in that period that you still hear in many of the Drumcode tracks being released today. It feels great to breathe new life into these timeless tracks and present exciting and new interpretations of them here on this album, which will be released in October.” – Adam Beyer

More info and full tracklist to follow. ‘Re-Generate’ is due out October 1 on Drumcode. To celebrate the release, a Printworks show is set for October 2.
