Mister Joshooa is one of Detroit’s most respected underground DJs, producers, and tastemakers, with more than two decades dedicated to the city’s ever-evolving electronic music culture. From intimate warehouse parties to internationally renowned clubs and festivals, he has built a reputation for uncompromising selections, impeccable technique, and an unwavering commitment to the dancefloor.
As a producer, Mister Joshooa has released music on influential labels including Planet E, Life and Death, [20:20] Vision, Party Store Records, and Infolines, alongside a number of sought-after independent projects. His productions reflect the same depth, character, and musical curiosity that define his DJ sets.
A regular at Detroit’s legendary Movement Festival, Mister Joshooa has long been an integral part of the city’s musical identity. Beyond the booth, he served as General Manager and Music Director of TV Lounge from 2007 until 2023, helping establish the venue as one of Detroit’s most important homes for underground electronic music.
